Anger... Its fun

You need your red shoes for that attitude and fun
Anger is good for us...

I know you might be thinking, that I have gone a little crazy. Maybe I have, but I don't think so.

You see there are always those people out there today who, lets just call them the haters, who will stop at nothing but the destruction of others. These haters are the ones who make us feel the need to criticise ourselves, and believe we're not worthy. I know I said in my last blog that we are the ones who have to be the bigger man and that's true, but we still can have fun while doing it.

So, your properly wondering how anger comes into this.

Well, there's two states of anger, there's the one where we don't think rationally and act out, which I understand is sometimes very hard to control.

The other state is where we be the "bigger man." You see, being the bigger man doesn't mean we ignore it, tolerate it or don't get angry over it. It means, we do it in a more civilised manner. Yes, I did say civilised.

Being civilised in this manner means we can defiantly still be angry, but do it without the use of our hands, or the person ever finding out and you being made the bad guy.

I have a few suggestions of what I have been doing in past and lately:

  1. Listen to some up beat, loud, rock type music or ones about being angry and let that frustration out
  2. Imagine a long dark hole, and imagine you plonk (maybe throw) them in there, and think their not worth your time, so you sill the hole shut...
  3. Punch a pillow
  4. Draw a messy, ugly drawing of them and burn it, imagine their going up in flames. ( Burn baby, burn)
  5. Maybe even write about all those things you wish you had told them, all those, "Bad words," every detail. But make sure you then burn it, because it would be horrible if it got out and then you would end up the bad guy.
  6. If you have a ball through it and imagine the ball has the persons face on it. But my favourite, when it comes to a ball and anger, is baseball. A bat and a ball, can do wonders with the anger we hold. But it can work with any sport with a ball and a bat.
  7. For some it helps to run it off, I  proffer to swimming and let the frustration flow off through the water.
  8. A friend once told me,  that when you go to the beach, and the waves about to crash, you smash into them and image its them. She said this was a really good technique to use, and it may just work for you.
  9. If you have a dart board, I have seen a lot of people get a picture of that person, or even your own drawing and through darts.
  10. Finally for most people out there, because lets just face it, we all have those haters, and sometimes they just don't stop. You confront the person, hopefully after you have told them to stop before. When you confront it is in a civilised cool manner, like you are totally fine and nothing is worrying or hurting you. You talk, without using your hands, and put those haters/hater in their place. Not raising your voice, trying to use as many less, "bad words," as possible.
You may think these few things of getting rid of anger is a twisted, cruel and maybe horrible list and that I shouldn't be posting it on my blog. Because anger is bad for us.

Well, maybe anger is bad for us, but that's when we hold on to it, till it ends up taking control. This list isn't about how to hold on to it, it's a list about how to release it before any damage is done, and it also means nobody gets hurt, including you.

Lately I have been very angry at a person I love, she hurt me pretty bad. But the thing is, I was just holding on to the anger, and then it became all I thought about.

Anger its self is not good for us, but when your in control and have the attitude to be the "bigger man," then your all good. You can also have some fun with it, so maybe anger isn't to good for us, but I'll let you make your own decision of that...

Till next time

Once upon an Easter

Easter has come upon us once again.

For most children around the world, they will be waking up in a frenzy of excitement, as one of their favourite holiday characters, has come and delivered them bundles of yummy joy.

The others out there say, they're just too old, and stop "believing," but still want those yummy eggs.  But my question is, when did they stop believing?

Do you know remember when you stopped believing in fairy tales?

Do you remember when you had a dream and believed that it would come true one day?

These days I feel that a lot people just want to crush our dreams. Push us down to make themselves feel better. This act is a trait that mostly everyone has, but some over use it.

After a while of always being told, shown or being convinced that your dreams are not in reach, or that you don't deserve it, you start to not believe anymore.

But its kind of a two way street, we are the ones who chose if these haters are going to get to us. We are the ones who have to stand our ground, and fight for our dreams and beliefs. I totally understand thats it's not that simple, because it's not. But after a while it gets easier, like anything in life.

So are you standing your ground this Easter?
Their your dreams, and you deserve to make them come true...

I hope your have a wonderful Easter and start to believe again.

Till next time

The Future?

While working on my blog at the moment, I've been starting to think of what could happen in my future, and the direction of the blog.

For some, the future can be a scary thing to face, as they fear the unknown.

For others, they are in a hurry to get to the new things that await them, and don't focus on the now.

Then there are the people who just don't want anything to change, and sometimes aren't prepared, they let their ego get the better of them.

Through my life so far I have been all these types of people. But the thing is in life we're not supposed to know what is going to happen. Yes, we can try, achieve and focus on things that we want to happen. But we never know what is around the next corner.

I once watched this ballet movie, and it showed me how things can be taken away in an instance. Most great ballerina's train their whole life, like any athlete, to be the best. To end up working for a company. But in an instance, one wrong move and their life work can be taken away, normally for life. In this one move the girl lent on her foot just slightly different, she had been doing this same move most of her life, and then snap, her ankle broke.

She could have easily given up, and said my career is over, no more dancing for me. But she didn't. She trained to regain her strength and get better. Then in the end, she became one of the best. I know that it isn't exactly reality. For some people they actually don't have a choice, but most do.

Life can take things from us so easily, but it's our choice. We are the ones who have to chose, with what to do with what life has handed us.

So which person are you?

If your the person who is afraid of the unknown. It comes around anyway and instead of being scared maybe just try to look forward to it.

Same for the people who don't want change, it's going to happen but it's your choice if your going to make it a smooth journey or a rocky ones.

Also for those eager ones out there, I just recommend living in the moment, enjoying life.

So for now, I can't wait to see what happens to my blog and also my future. But I'm just going to enjoy life right now, and deal with whats to come when it decides to appear.

Till next time

My first post...

As this is my first blog I would love to start off with telling you why I thought 'The Girl With The Red Shoes' was the most appropriate name for my blog.

Firstly, as this blog is anonymous I couldn't exactly just say my name because, obviously, that's a secret...

But the reason is because to me red shoes symbolise strength, fun and attitude. It may be just me, but when you see a woman wearing red shoes most of them seem to be confident, like the shoes were empowering them. I don't know if it's the colour that brings the magic and the passion, but to me, they make me feel both of those things...

I read a quote from a blog today about a man's theory about red shoes. Monsieur Loubontin says he makes the soles of his shoes red because, "They attract men, the way a bull is attracted to a red cape."

It is a very interesting quote, because yes it relates to men... But I think its more that you stand out from the crowd, and for me, I think I fit into the category of standing out from the norm.

Also, with this amazing invention and colour you don't just get the confidence and attitude but you get a whole lot of fun, because when you feel good in your own skin, what can stop you from achieving the enjoyment you need?  Because isn't that what life is supposed to be about, and we deserve it, everybody does.

So I thought, 'The Girl With The Red Shoes' was the best choice because in life we need the strength to push through those challenges that can be the smallest issues, to the issues where you feel like there is no hope left in the world.

But also with the attitude, which we desperately need. Because without it, what are you going to do when that person or issues just keeps pushing you down, over and over again? You need to stand up and just say, NO. NO MOREYou are in control of your own life.

So from now on, if you remember, why couldn't we wear our imaginary red shoes, or even our real ones everyday and feel good? So, through these blogs I'm going to write things that have happened in my life or even random things for that matter. Because my goal is if I can help at least one person in the slightest way, I will be so happy. Because when you read my story, you will understand why I say, nobody should go through anything I did...

This is my first blog and I can't wait for the rest...

till next time,

xoxo
